Yes ! My dearest father turns 70 today and what other way to spend this day then giving thanks and blessing to God above for 70 blessed years on this planet earth . More than half a century old , my father has persevered thru thick and thin , of most difficult times of his life to the present time , he has seen and endured alot. Blessed with a loving wife of 44 years and 9 children all grown and successful in their very own ways , my father is indeed someone very special not only to me but also to the people who's life he has touched just by the very little things he does . My father has lived thru the second world war , knew the feeling of living in a war torn " kampung " in the forest , living with a drunkard father who abused him very often as a child and eventually found life in the priest who helped him thru all of this . I guess , if it had not been for God as his pillar of strength , my father will not be where he is today. Still working in the Lord's vineyard despite his advance age , my father is the kind of person who never gives up so easily and someone that I usually turn to , to seek spiritual advice very often. Not forgetting another person who shares the same birthday as my father is my sister who turns 37 today as well.
